Ellie Busch
Program Manager, Alumni Engagement

Ellie Busch joined the CEAS alumni engagement team as the program manager for alumni engagement in March 2023. Ellie’s background converges at the intersection of volunteer management, community engagement, and higher education. As a Forever Buff herself, Ellie graduated from ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s college of media, communication and information with a master’s degree in communication where she studied identity, conflict, and ways of talk within communities in online spaces. Throughout her professional career, Ellie has supported students, alumni, volunteers, and community stakeholders in both academic and non-profit environments – building meaningful connections and cultivating engaging opportunities along the way. As the program manager for alumni engagement, Ellie works with the ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Engineering community to continue fostering and growing an inclusive and supportive network for students, alumni, faculty, and industry partners.

Hailing from the northern tip of the beautiful Missouri Ozarks, Ellie earned dual bachelor’s degrees in communication and women’s studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia – the first public university west of the Mississippi River. In her free time, Ellie can be found staring at the ground in search of interesting mushrooms, flowers, and rocks with her dog, Kim, and cheering on St. Louis City SC.
