Lauren Hosek Recognized for Her Contributions to the Sisters of Loretto Relocation Project

During Professor Lauren Hosek's CU Museum AIA Lecture, "They are still teaching us":ÌýCommunity Bioarchaeology & the Sisters of Loretto Project, Lauren was recognized for her contribution to the project and the care she took towards the nuns who were reburied when the cemetery was moved.Ìý ÌýThe project started n the summer of 2022, construction necessitated the relocation of a small 19th /20th century cemetery of nuns from southwest Denver. Before their reinterment, a team of local researchers and students worked with the Loretto Community to undertake a bioarchaeological analysis of the remains of the Sisters of Loretto. Dr. Lauren Hosek (¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ) research exploresÌýhow this ongoing project highlights community collaboration, education, and historical memory in the spirit of these women and their service to the Denver community.
