MELT: The Memory of Ice

by Betsey Biggs

MELT: The Memory of Ice is a personal meditation on the earth鈥檚 body changing, melting, and spilling due to climate change. Made from a summer in the Arctic with her mother and five year old, the film blends striking Arctic scenery, ambient music made from glimmers of ice, and a spellbinding vocal ensemble chanting an unfathomable list of winter鈥檚 loss 鈥 flurries, orcas, snow angels. The ice melts on.
