Co-Founder and CTO of Craftsy
After graduating from the business school I worked at American Management Systems consulting as a QA tester for AirTouch, which is now Verizon. I currently reside in Golden, Colorado and am the Co-Founder and CTO ofÌýCraftsy.Ìý
What have you been involved with since graduation?
I have hosted events at Craftsy for current Leeds students and have been a speaker at several Leeds events. I was also the commencement speaker for the business minor program and judged a contest for the entrepreneurial program.
Throughout your career, what is one piece of advice or best practice that has stuck with you?
Try to optimize your career for experience out of college. The pay you may forgo early in your career will pay back tenfold from the exposure to brilliant people and the opportunity to learn hands on.
What is your favorite craft and why?
I always consider code as a craft. Technology and systems is my favorite way to contribute as a 'maker'.
Why Leeds?
I love CU. My father, many of my best friends, and closest colleagues graduated from CU. Leeds exposed me to so many opportunities to learn. I was able to take computer science courses, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship. It really shaped what was to come in my career as both a technologist and a founder.
