What does life look like for you after graduation?
Upon graduation, I will be moving to Denver to work as a business technology analyst at Deloitte Consulting. I am looking forward to joining a network of Leeds Alumni that work there.
What is your favorite memory from the Leeds School of Business?
One of my favorite memories was volunteering at a Women in Business event where prospective students were invited to learn about Leeds for a day. I got the opportunity to talk about my experiences at Leeds and being a woman in the business/technology field. Sharing my story as well as hearing executives talk about their experiences made me realize how empowering the Leeds community is and how incredible their diversity and inclusion initiatives are, like End the Gap 2020.
What was your favorite class and/or professor?
Decision Analytics with Lori Seward. It was centered around reading case problems and analyzing the information to make decisions about business operations. I learned practical applications to skills I had touched on in other classes throughout my time at Leeds. Lori is also extremely intelligent and made all of the classes I had with her engaging and interactive.
What did you love most about going to college in Boulder?
I loved being in the center of everything. I was able to walk to all of the amazing restaurants and coffee shops on Pearl Street as well as be in close walking distance to campus. Thirty minutes away in the mountains there is good camping, and 30 minutes in the opposite direction I could be in downtown Denver at a Rockies game. The endless possibility of things to do makes Boulder such a special place.
What was your favorite spot to study at on campus and/or in Boulder?
I really enjoyed studying in the Kittredge neighborhood, which was where my dorm was located freshman year. There is a pond with lots of big trees around it where I would set up my hammock to read and study. It's quieter because it's on the outskirts of campus so I could actually get studying done, but it also had a volleyball court for occasional study breaks with friends.
