Dave鈥檚 core teaching focus is business plan development in the entrepreneurship and business minor program. He is the co-founder and former CEO of Uvize, Inc., an education technology company focused on student success through mentorship and community learning. Uvize is a Techstars company and was acquired in 2016. Dave is now the Director of Business Development at Techstars. He is also a former active duty Navy aviator and is still a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves. He holds a BA in Political Science from Tulane University and an MBA from CU-Boulder. Dave is the author of "The Strategic Student Veteran:听Successfully Transitioning from the Military to College Academics鈥� which is used in universities nationwide and he actively volunteers as a teacher and mentor in Patriot Boot Camp by Techstars, Salute Colorado, and Defy Colorado.
