Jenny received her Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Electronic Media Broadcast and her Master鈥檚 in Higher Education Administration from Appalachian State University (ASU.) With a passion for music and people, she decided to go into radio and video production. While at ASU, she worked at the college radio station and also had an internship at CBS Radio in Cleveland, Ohio. While in school, she also really admired her professors and their journey. It was her dream to work in higher education in some capacity after working in the multimedia industry.听
Job Opportunities
After a job opportunity brought her to Steamboat Springs for a winter, Jenny knew that she wanted to live in Colorado. But first, she moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where she managed a top-notch recording studio, Echo Mountain Recording Studios. Although she had no experience in actual music recording at the time, she began interning and learning from the amazing team that made Echo Mountain. Eventually, she was promoted to Studio Manager when the position became available. From booking bands to staffing recording sessions and managing engineers, Jenny loved working in the entrepreneurial environment at Echo Mountain.听
After a few years, she transitioned to working in higher education. Jenny enrolled full-time in the Higher Education Administration Master's program while working at ASU. Upon completion of her master鈥檚 degree, she landed a position at eTown Hall as the Events and Production Manager. While at eTown, Jenny booked and managed the event hall and production crew.
