Mark Hernandez and team awarded $125K in Lab Venture Challenge
Professor Mark Hernandez, his former PhD student Emmalee Biesiada and colleague Steve Hughes were among five winning teams Ìýof ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ faculty, researchers and graduate student innovators awarded $125,000 in this year’s Lab Venture Challenge (LVC) in the biosciences category. Their company is developing Peroxide Enhanced Germicidal Irradiation (PEGI) for rapid, low-resource sterilization of microbial contaminants.
