Are you interested in construction engineering and design infrastructure projects? Join our information session to learn about applying to the Kiewit Scholars Program for the 2024-2025 academic year. Hear from program staff and alumni about how the program prepares students for a career path in various disciplines in the construction and engineering sector.

The Kiewit Scholars Program is open to all engineering majors (with an emphasis on CVEN, AREN, EVEN, ECEN, and MCEN) and supports students via financial aid, programmatic events, industry mentorship, and a guaranteed summer internship.

Are you trying to decide whether to attend graduate school or go into industry when you graduate? Do you want to know more about ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ's Bachelor Accelerated Masters (BAM) program as well as general information about graduate school? Join us on Zoom March 15 from 12:15-1:15 p.m. to hear from the CEAE graduate advising team and an engineer from industry about the perks of BAM, graduate school and the decision to go to industry vs. grad school.

CEAE Faculty Stories
The Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering  invites CEAE students to attend our Faculty Stories Series. This will feature our own faculty telling us about their path into engineering, what they’re currently working on, and their plans for the future. Light food and refreshments will be provided.

The Colorado River once fostered flourishing life in the 20th Century, but it no longer meets all needs today.  Discover the root causes for this water crisis; be able to spearhead solutions for the next century.  In this class, you will engage in constructive conversations and consider options for meaningful actions. 

We will paint a canvas sprinkling 19th Century vision of John Wesley Powell ­with modern efforts to manage the river.  Passions color this canvas, shaded by desires to make the Colorado work for Man and illuminated by hope for a Grand Bargain to equitably share dwindling supplies.

 â€¢  Learn how visions and plans coalesced into the Law of the River. 

•  Assess its success in unleashing the river’s potential.  

•  Detect the seeds portending today’s Crisis.

•  Judge whether the Colorado River Crisis is synonymous with the Global Climate Crisis.

Construction Workforce Foundation of Colorado Scholarship
Deadline: March 1, 2024

The Construction Workforce Foundation of Colorado, a foundation administered by the Colorado Contractors Association (CCA), awards a number of yearly scholarships to college junior and/or senior students interested in pursuing a career in heavy-highway-municipal-utility construction. Scholarships may be valued between $1,000 to $5,000. 

Deadline: May 1, 2024
Each year the Rocky Mountain Steel Construction Association (RMSCA) funds an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) scholarship for students majoring in civil engineering, architectural engineering, construction engineering or construction management with an interest in the use of structural steel. There are two scholarships available for $3,000 each.
