The National Trust for Historic Preservation invites applications for the 2023-2024 Silman Fellow for Preservation Engineering. This 12-month fellowship provides a recent graduate with the opportunity to work on various restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation projects at the Trust鈥檚 27 sites nationwide and work at Silman as a structural engineer.
The Silman Fellow is required to complete a deliverable for the benefit to the field of historic preservation that is suitable for presentation and/or publication. Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, the Fellow will continue as a full-time Silman employee. In addition to designing many notable new buildings, Silman is a nationally recognized leader in the field of historic preservation. The firm has offices in New York, Washington DC, Boston, Ann Arbor, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
