- Black culture is misrepresented/appropriated by other groups and that is not known until they are called out
- Used to be deemed to be ghetto-ish until recognized by the community
- Black Americans are not credited for their innovations/inventions and their influence on the modern pop culture
- Anti-blackness is universal across cultures and talking about them will bring the community together to combat it
- Music: Mona Leo and from CU alumni: DJ Ambitious Boy, Fashion: wear your cultural wear, Food: Southern BBQ, Nigeria and Puerto Rican food, Education: Lecture from Dr. Hodges from ƷSMӰƬ communications regarding black culture

- Graduate students are teaching for the first time and they hope to leave a mark in the Boulder community through indigenous communities, Monarch High School Spanish Honors society, and local artists

- Cultural night - songs, poetry, dance performances, fake traditional wedding from 2 different countries showcasing bridal and groom celebrations
- Expecting about 400 people
- A basketball court will be organized to accommodate the event
- Preparation starts at 3pm and attendees are expected to arrive at 6pm
- Waiting on official quotes from PC and the Rec
- PC moving to BufConnect could be causing delays

- Highlighting Nepali culture with songs, artistry, and cuisines and sharing them with CU and the broader Boulder community
- The highlight of the event - artists from Nepal
- Brings the people together and provides a homely feeling
- The main performer was an international artist but since the quote is too high, they might bring in 2 people instead at a lower cost
- The last event didn’t have enough food for about 100 people - will increase it to make sure it's enough for all the attendees
