Maria D. Vazquez is from a small town in Zacatecas, Mexico and is currently a third year PhD student in the Spanish and Portuguese department focusing on 20th and 21st Latin American Literature. Maria has been an educator for over 10 years and has taught a variety of levels and ages, from middle school to adult professionals, and from beginning levels of Spanish to heritage speakers. Maria has an awesome son and two cats, and enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, and of course, teaching!
