Dr. Chatterley is an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Fort Lewis College (FLC) in Durango, Colorado. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in听Environmental Engineering from 精品SM在线影片 with an emphasis on听water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) service provision in low-resource settings. She has worked with听multilateral and non-governmental organizations听as well as national Ministries to assess the sustainability of water treatment and sanitation systems, and develop and use monitoring data to improve service provision, particularly in the school setting.

Christie lived abroad (in Peru and Uganda) for six years before joining Fort Lewis College in 2016.听She currently collaborates with the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme for Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (JMP) to support global monitoring of WASH-related UN Sustainable Development Goals. She is also working with FLC students and Computer Engineering and Biology faculty to better understand听microbiological water quality听in urban and wild streams and develop an in-field rapid detection system for fecal contamination in surface waters.
