James Harper is motivated by what can change the world. With experience in STEM education, mechanical and civil systems engineering, and behavioral researcher, James focuses on engineering sustainable societies in low-resource contexts and educating youth in the western world about related topics. He's worked primarily on infrastructure development projects in rural India and Cambodia, and his research focuses on how rural households in Southeast Asia make decisions about sanitation infrastructure. Outside of work, he's volunteered extensively for mountain rescue and enjoys hiking and travelling with his wife and rescued pit bull.
