Kurt received an M.S. degree in Applied Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He received a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park. He is entering IQ Biology through the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Kurt completed his first rotation in Corey Neu's lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He completed his second rotation in Ryan Layer's lab in the Department of Computer Science. His听third rotation was completed with Kristi Anseth within the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. For Kurt's听team rotation, he听worked with three other IQ students in Ryan Layer and Kayla Sprenger's Labs in the departments of Computer Science and Chemical and Biologicial Engineering. Kurt joined the Neu Lab in May 2023.
