Call for Nominations: Provost Search Advisory Committee

¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Chancellor Justin Schwartz is seeking nominations for members of the search advisory committee for the position of provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. 

The committee will be co-chaired by Michele Moses, vice provost and associate vice chancellor for faculty affairs, and Sonia DeLuca Fernández, senior vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion. 

The provost is the lead academic officer of the university and reports to the chancellor. The provost works in collaboration with the faculty, university officers, unit heads, faculty governance representatives, and the staff to articulate and achieve the university’s strategic mission and goals, with the focus on providing the highest quality educational experience to students, engaging in the production of knowledge, and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.

The chancellor plans to select the search committee and launch a national search, conducted by an executive search firm, by the end of October with the goal of having a new provost in position by July 1, 2025. 

Please volunteer or nominate someone to be considered to serve on the search committee by Oct. 18, 2024.
