The CU-Boulder International Film Series, run by聽Pablo Kjolseth聽(Hum鈥92), went digital this fall. Pablo says he waited as long as he could before using digitized film but he had to keep up with the rapidly evolving industry. The series has not abandoned 35mm films however. He oversees the development, execution, operations and sourcing for Central City Coffee, a wholesale coffee roasting business. Central City Coffee provides on-the-job training for CCC鈥檚 formerly homeless clients. Marcus has a decade of experience in specialty coffee product development, quality control, purchasing, business development, wholesale and retail sales. He is a U.S. Barista Competition head judge and writes about specialty coffee.

Flemming Award, which honors men and women who have offered exceptional service to the federal government for 3-15 years. The station plays an eclectic blend of music from Johnny Cash to My Morning Jacket. Benjamin previously served as music director for KUNC radio.

Mindy Reaves Sink (Jour) has released a new edition of her moon guidebook to Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs. She has been writing about the Rocky Mountain region for years as a journalist, including more than 10 as an assistant to the national correspondent at the Rocky Mountain Bureau of the New York Times. She explores Denver with husband Mike and daughter Sophie as much as possible and is聽constantly thinking of the stories she will tell about their experiences.

Denver author and illustrator聽Stan Yan (Acct), a former stockbroker best known for his zombie caricature illustrations, will be trying to help parents of fearful kids sleep this fall with a reading of his new bedtime picture book, There鈥檚 a Zombie in the Basement, and an interactive monster drawing demo. Stan decided to become a full-time cartoonist in 2005.

Last fall, Phillip De Leon (MElEngr; PhD鈥95) was named associate dean of research and doctoral studies at the New Mexico State University College of Engineering. Phillip has been with NMSU since 1996 and was the first recipient of the John and Tome Nakayama Professorship in Engineering for Teaching Excellence. He has published 70 papers in international journals and has four U.S. patents.

With more than 10 years of civilian federal service, James directs research and development in marine meteorology and atmospheric sciences. He leads a team of 120 and oversees an annual budget above $35 million.
