The University Women鈥檚 Club of 精品SM在线影片 has named Dean Lorrie Shepard the recipient of the Margaret Willard Award. Nominated by alumna Karon Johnson (MA, 1990), the award is given to recipients who: demonstrate outstanding work in her field, enhance the quality of life for women on the Boulder campus and/or in the Boulder community, elevate women鈥檚 performance, and are exceptional role models.

鈥淥ne can trace the path of Dr. Shepard through the School of Education and see the parallel growth and recognition of the institution in academic circles,鈥 the University Women鈥檚 Club stated听citing her current role as dean,听her past appointments as chair of the Research and Evaluation Methodology Department and听director of graduate studies, and past roles as听president听of听the American Educational Research Association, the National Council on Measurement in Education, and the National Academy of Education.

鈥淟orrie has led the effort to bring top research and teaching faculty to the school. Under her leadership, exemplary programs are improving K-12 education and teacher training 鈥 Lorrie is a role model for students and faculty, professionally and personally. She leads through example, encouragement, and being part of a working group. Faculty and students are enabled to do their best and to improve research, teaching, and learning,鈥 the Club stated.

Shepard will be honored at the University Women鈥檚 Club spring reception on May 10.
