Goal
Researchers have argued that teacher education programs have effectively engaged practices of observation, but have not adequately engaged pedagogies of enactment of teaching. This project emphasizes enactment through a partnership with schools involving university and classroom teacher educators working closely with novices on site at a school, providing immediate feedback to novices as they engage a cycle of observing, planning and rehearsing lessons, enacting instruction, and debriefing teaching through video. These practices are embedded in a framework that analyzes systemic inequities in schools and positive positioning of children.
