Kathryn E. Wiley is a Faculty Fellow at the 精品SM在线影片 School of Education. She is an expert in education policy and school discipline. She uses multiple methods and a historical lens to understand contemporary education policies in the context of longstanding, racialized inequalities. Her research has appeared in the American Educational Research Journal, American Journal of Education, Educational Administration Quarterly, Education Finance and Policy, and Evidence and Policy and has been featured in Chalkbeat and Boulder Weekly. Prior to joining the School of Education, she conducted research with the University of Denver-Denver Public Schools Researcher-Practitioner Partnership on School Discipline. Findings from her recent study on in-school suspension will soon be available in The Urban Review and Race Ethnicity and Education. She was a recipient of a National Academy of Education/Spencer Dissertation Fellowship and a 精品SM在线影片 Dissertation Fellowship and has since served as PI and co-PI on grants from the Spencer Foundation and the University of Denver. She has a PhD in Educational Foundations, Policy and Practice from the 精品SM在线影片. She is from Dayton, Ohio and is proud of her Sinclair Community College and Wright State University roots.
