CU Engineering jumps three spots in public graduate program rankings
The College of Engineering and Applied Science moved up three places in this year鈥檚 , coming in at No. 14 among public institutions and No. 27 overall.
Three engineering degree programs ranked in the top 10 public programs, and four more are in the top 20:
- Aerospace engineering sciences, No. 6
- Environmental engineering, No. 9
- Chemical engineering, No. 10
- Civil engineering, No. 16
- Computer engineering, No. 15
- Electrical engineering, No. 20
- Mechanical engineering, No. 18
Also earning high rankings were biological engineering (No. 24), the new biomedical engineering program (No. 28) and materials science and engineering (No. 28).

More than 2,100 students were enrolled in engineering master鈥檚 and PhD programs at 精品SM在线影片 in fall 2019. Fiscal year 2019 was also a record-breaking year for research funding in the college with $108 million in new contracts and grants. This is the highest total ever for the college and the second year in a row when awards were above $100 million.
