T9Hacks is a 24-hour campus hackathon that welcomes traditionally underrepresented students in STEM to explore what hackathons are all about! T9Hacks is open to all and provides a supportive environment for students, no matter their skill range, to learn how to find creative solutions to compelling problems and express themselves. Participants can enjoy networking with our local tech company sponsors, learning from workshops, meeting other creatives, eating free food, collecting free swag, and winning project prizes! Registration is open until the event starts. and don't hesitate to join them — coding knowledge is not required.

A&S departments will talk about their majors, minors and certificates. If you find areas of interest, our staff will be on-site and ready to help you declare majors and/or minors. Come for free beanies and discover how you might pursue a new field in A&S!

Consider nominating a fellow student who is graduating with their bachelor’s degree in May or August 2023 for a College of Engineering and Applied Science award! These eight undergraduate awards bestowed at graduation represent the values of the college and promote important themes among the student body.

Please review the criteria associated with each award and consider by Tuesday, Feb. 21 (self-nominations are not allowed). If the nominee wishes to be considered for a particular award, they will need to provide further materials to complete their nomination. Awardees will be notified by early April.

This fellowship is designed to give policy-making experience to undergraduate and graduate students with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with the goal of increasing the presence of individuals in public policy that come from a science and engineering background. Hey, Hackers! Join HackCU for ��ƷSM����ӰƬ's biggest hackathon of the year! The event will include great workshops, social events, company networking opportunities, prizes, free meals/snacks, and more. HackCU is a 24-hour hackathon where more than 400 of the most passionate student developers come together to build mobile apps, websites, hardware devices, and other cool tools to show off their talent and skills. Open to any student regardless of experience or major.

Meet with a current Engineering student to learn a new organizational tool or learning strategy! CEAS Peer Academic Coaches are trained by the Academic Success Team to help you explore effective learning and priority management strategies.

This team of current undergraduate researchers can meet with prospective students one-on-one to offer advice and support on the benefits of getting involved with research, how to get started, as well as share information on the various research opportunities CU has to offer. Looking for participants for research designed to understand engineering, science, and math major’s reactions to typical classroom experiences. This study takes place online, is approximately 65 minutes, and you will receive a $25 Amazon gift card for your participation. Recent world events, including the COVID-19 pandemic have emphasized the importance of understanding how people understand the nature of science and trustworthiness of scientific claims. As part of an effort to better understand students' ideas around this, researchers at CU have developed an anonymous survey to solicit ideas. This survey will close mid Feb. 2023 and students who complete the survey will have the option to enter into a drawing for one of five $20 e-gift cards.

BSI Scholars Program is a funding and professional development program for current ��ƷSM����ӰƬ undergraduates. Eligible students conducting STEM research are paid to work in a laboratory on the ��ƷSM����ӰƬ or CU Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Students also attend seminars to enhance the research experience and summarize their findings through a presentation at the end of the term. Deadline to apply is Sunday, Feb. 27.

Students must be a US citizen or permanent resident enrolled at CU Engineering and with interest in smart cabins, reduced crew operations, aviation sustainability, digital airline operations, and unmanned aerial vehicle operations. Engineering interns can expect to utilize and adapt technology as a data tool for clinicians. This encompasses problem solving and optimizing technological tools. Projects may include incorporating motion capture technology into routine physical therapy, surgical evaluation, rehabilitation, or clinical decision making. Interns will be asked to give a final presentation of their work. In addition to these activities, interns will be offered opportunities to shadow various clinical professionals and attend relevant lectures.
