As we look to increase accessibility in our everyday, this course will focus on how we, as designers, look to affect movement through the built space. Our lens of investigation will be connectivity, urban scale manipulation, and equity.  

Alternative transit systems will lead our focus and bring clarity to conversations about efficient and sustainable public spaces and the inclusion of all participants. We will evaluate historical precedents, current trajectories, and the role planners, engineers, designers, and architects play in conceiving and executing formalized ground plains.

Just a few more days to walk-thru part 1 of this exhibit. Exhibited work by Intermediate Applications for ENVD: Translating Digital Lints into Physical Forms and Introduction to Product Design: Design Lies at the Intersection of Science and Art. 

Part 2 of 56 Days of Design will go live on Monday, Nov. 7, and will feature work from ENVD 1110: Fundamentals of Product Design and ENVD 1120: Fundamentals of Architecture.

The Open House is a building-wide exhibition of design and research produced by our faculty and students during the fall semester. This event was established in 2018 to encourage connection between students and their faculty, alumni and friends, as well as with the Boulder community at large. But most excitingly, it is a celebration of your accomplishments in the classroom.

Assistant Technicians (ATs) are responsible for monitoring equipment checkout, printing software and the DMC email. ATs will review large format and 3D print files, vinyl cut files and other duties assigned.

Student Leads (SLs) will be responsible for assisting in training student employees, keeping student employees accountable and ensuring that activities in the center are guided towards improving the student experience within the space. SLs may be asked to meet with the DMC Coordinator and/or the Manager of Student Academic Support Centers regularly.
