A film, a forum.聽Presented by Dr. Hillary Potter and hosted by the Black Student Alliance and the聽Department of Ethnic Studies.聽Join us for a screening of the compelling documentary 鈥淲hose Streets?鈥� and a panel of 精品SM在线影片 students and racial justice and anti-violence advocates in surrounding communities (and free popcorn & pizza!). 鈥淲hose Streets?鈥� is a look at the Ferguson, Missouri, uprising in the wake of Michael Brown's death by a Ferguson police officer. As described by the film makers, "When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police and left lying in the street for hours, it marks a breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri. Grief, long-standing racial tensions and renewed anger bring residents together to hold vigil and protest this latest tragedy." The event will allow for the 精品SM在线影片 campus and the surrounding communities to come together to address pressing issues of racial tensions and conflict within the criminal legal system and within society at large.
