Siamak Mirfendereski earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where his research focused on fluid mechanics, computational modeling of multi-scale hydrodynamics, electrokinetics, granular and colloidal suspensions, blood flow, and rheology. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed his M.Sc. at Amirkabir University of Technology and his B.Sc. at Isfahan University of Technology.
Currently, Siamak is interested in diffusiophoresis, active colloids and droplets, and self-assembly by developing and using computational and experimental models. Outside of work, you鈥檒l likely find him engaging in outdoor activities such as biking, running, and hiking in nature. He also enjoys playing Flamenco guitar, visiting nice caf茅s, and exploring new places while traveling.
