Lori Walker
- Program Coordinator
Office: LESS 103
Lori Walker came to Herbst in 2013 after working for many years in the CU Engineering Dean's Office, the Aerospace Engineering department, and the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research. While working as the Educational Programs Coordinator in the Dean鈥檚 Office, she researched first-year programs at peer institutions and assisted the Associate Dean for Education in crafting a new Engineering first-year educational initiative.
Prior to her arrival at CU, she worked for many years in the Hollywood entertainment industry as a human resources director at a television production company and as legal secretary to a senior entertainment attorney with over 100 celebrity clients. The wide variety of tasks she performed in these positions prepared her well for her duties at Herbst, where she is the only staff member supporting all of the Herbst faculty and students as well as managing course scheduling, HR, and finance for the program.
She holds B.Mus. and M.Mus. degrees in Piano Performance from CU-Boulder, and performs professionally around the country and around the world as a pianist in the Walker Duo.
