Graduates and Their Stories

Nick Gary graduated spring 2022 as an English major, having also taken many credits in the natural sciences. Following graduation Nick moved to DC and is working at Walter Reed Army Institue of Research in the branch of military psychiatry and neuroscience, in a lab utilizing AI-driven diagnostics with patients impacted by PTSD, TBI and infectious diseases. It's complicated. He loves it, and is planning to pursue a medical degree soon, when the current work results in a segue to medical school. Good luck, Nick!

Niketna Vivek is a #ForeverBuff as of June 2021, heading off to Vanderbuilt Med School in the fall. "Living in the HPRAP was the absolute best decision that I could鈥檝e made. The small class sizes allowed me to make friends with fellow pre-meds and to develop crucial relationships with faculty. HPRAP coffee breaks, outings and speaker series provided an overall unforgettable experience. My favorite perk was being able to attend coffee breaks even after moving out of the res hall;  I could drop in occasionally to catch up with friends, faculty and mentors and maintain those relationships through my undergraduate years.
