HR Blueprint project aims to transform HR processes, improve employee experience

精品SM在线影片 Human Resources, in conjunction with Academic Affairs, has kicked off a multi-year project to transform campus HR processes to improve the 精品SM在线影片 faculty and staff experience.  

Why HR Blueprint matters 

The HR Blueprint Project is working to create a more equitable experience for staff and faculty by ensuring they have consistency in the tools, systems, and resources they need to grow and thrive on campus, regardless of role or affiliation.鈥 It aims to streamline processes, systems, and governance, and remove redundancies.  

The project is co-sponsored by Chief People Officer Robyn Fergus and Vice Chancellor for Academic Resource Management Ann Schmiesing. It is a key project supporting  精品SM在线影片鈥檚 Transformation and Financial Resilience efforts.  

鈥淭he outcomes of HR Blueprint are designed to put people first and improve the day-to-day, tactical HR processes that support the people driving our academic mission,鈥 Fergus and Schmiesing wrote in an update post on the HR Blueprint website. 鈥淚t is intended to build more strategic HR partnerships to provide better communication, cooperation, and service for a more accessible HR experience overall.鈥 

What鈥檚 next 

The HR Blueprint project team recently completed a comprehensive assessment of 精品SM在线影片 HR processes and systems that identified several key strengths and opportunities for improvement across the campus.

Strengths include:

  • High level of alignment on the case for change 
  • Strong culture of collaboration 
  • Pockets of best practice and innovation 
  • Deep institutional knowledge and experience 

Opportunities include: 

  • Development of a clear HR strategy 
  • Strengthened structure and governance mechanisms 
  • Increased consistency across processes and services 
  • Better coordinated and integrated technology 
  • Removing a culture of exceptions 
  • The next phase of work now begins to design and implement clear strategy, structure, roles, processes, governance, and technology for HR across campus, both in the units and within the central HR team. 
  • The project plan is split into three horizons, the first of which will run from June of 2024 to June of 2025.
