Matei Fawzy (Bus'23) is a co-founder of ASANTe, an innovative social media platform that empowers and recognizes users who engage in service and socially conscious enterprise by sending TCards (thank you cards) to one another. Launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Matei and his team have made immense progress in just under a year by taking advantage of ��ƷSM����ӰƬ's innovative and entrepreneurial resources. Kailey is the CEO of Chembotix, a company that is developing a robotic automation platform to dramatically speed up chemistry research & development (R&D). As a second-time NVC participant, she's immersed herself in ��ƷSM����ӰƬ's innovation ecosystem to help get her startup off the ground.

Long before the pandemic sent people scrambling into isolation, musicians have longed to jam virtually with others across the globe. Now researchers from ��ƷSM����ӰƬ’s ATLAS Institute’s ACME Lab and Ericsson Research are developing ways for musicians to play together remotely through the AR Drum Circle project.

We sat down with Henry Kvietok, leader of the GSF committee, to discuss how GSF wrapped up the 2020 fall semester. Henry and his team organize weekly pitch nights and offer feedback and networking opportunities to student entrepreneurs, in addition to funding.

Meet Lochlainn Renfrow, a soon-to-be graduate at ��ƷSM����ӰƬ, entrepreneur, and co-founder of the medical scheduling app, Hublete. He studies Information Management and Analytics, Operations, & Marketing with a Minor in Technology, Arts, & Media.

“In quarantine I had nothing to do, and I was sitting at home, and I felt like I needed a project to keep me going,” Hannah Richardson said. “I started looking back at some other songs I had written … and just started writing based off of how I was feeling.”
