The Office of Export Controls (OEC) is simplifying the way the 精品SM在线影片 community submits information to our office when they are applying for an H1-B work visa on behalf of a prospective foreign national employee. Currently, CU staff are required to submit a 鈥淒eemed Export License Worksheet鈥 through so OEC can perform an export review of the employment activity and provide a determination and attestation of whether a federal license is required for the foreign national to perform the scoped work, as required by the I-129 Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker application. We are moving away from using the Visual Compliance module entirely.

Instead of logging into Visual Compliance and completing the I-129 worksheet, the 精品SM在线影片 community will be downloading and completing the new 鈥H1B Export Review Questionnaire鈥 and submitting it, along with the applicant鈥檚 current CV or resume, to exportcontrolshelp@colorado.edu. Please put 鈥淗1B Review 鈥 [Applicant鈥檚 Name]鈥 (or similar language) in the email subject line. Once received, OEC will reach out to the submitter and sponsor if any additional information is needed for the review, then forward an export controls visa attestation to them when the review is complete. As before, this attestation must be included with the documents sent to ISSS for visa processing.

This change went into effect on 6/27/2022. OEC will keep the Visual Compliance submission module live until the fall semester incase anyone misses this announcement and continues to use Visual Compliance. If you have any questions, please reach out to Thomas Sawicki (Thomas.sawicki@colorado.edu). More information can be found on our webpage here.

Thank you,
