David Shneer,听Louis P. Singer Endowed Chair in Jewish History听and Professor of History, Religious Studies and Jewish Studies, has a busy summer in store for him. He will be making his annual pilgrimage to the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst in June to serve on the faculty of the听听 including one of CU鈥檚 own Jewish Studies undergraduate students, Alexis Aeang. After that, he will serve as the historian-in-residence on the听听 an immersive travel program to historic Lithuania produced by Yiddishkayt LA. If that wasn鈥檛 enough, he will then travel to Japan to participate in the International Council for Central and East European Studies鈥櫶齣n Chiba, Japan, at which he will present research related to his new book project,听Grief: The History of the World鈥檚 First Holocaust Liberation Photograph.听
