Sasha Senderovich, Assistant Professor of Russian and Jewish Studies, published an article 鈥淪oviet Jews, Re-Imagined: 脡migr茅 Anglophone Writers from the USSR,鈥 in听听(Edinburgh University Press, 2015). His听translation听鈥斕齛 collaboration with Harriet Murav (University of Illinois)听鈥斕齩f David Bergelson's Yiddish-language novel听, was published in the inaugural issue of听, a new peer-reviewed Yiddish Studies journal. In August, he taught, for the second consecutive year, in the week-long听听program for high school students, at the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Mass. He was asked by Tablet Magazine to write a tribute for Svetlana Boym, one of his doctoral advisers at Harvard, after her untimely death this summer;听听became an opportunity to reflect on teaching in Jewish Studies with the guidance of Dr. Boym's work on memory and nostalgia.
