Kate completed her聽B.S./M.S. dual degree in Environmental Engineering and a Certificate in Engineering for Developing Communities in 2018.聽聽 In collaboration with researchers at Duke University and with support from AAUW, she conductied research about the use of biochar for odor control in latrines. 聽She is most passionate about water, sanitation, and hygiene in rural developing communities.聽 A Colorado native, she enjoys mountain adventure activities during all seasons.
