Casey is an engineer at , a structural consulting firm in Boulder, Colorado.聽Prior to landing there, she earned her Master鈥檚 degree in structural engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where she studied transitional bridging as a tool to aid developing nations and to assist in disaster relief.聽During that time, she also served as a seismic design consultant for the Rwandan branch of CU鈥檚 student Engineers Without Borders branch.聽Her undergraduate degree in architectural engineering is from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she worked with Dr. Amy Javernick-Will to study gender diversity and identity within Engineers Without Borders-USA.聽Also while at CU, she worked with Dr. Abbie Liel to study the efficacy of new seismic design code when applied to subduction-type quakes, such as those induced by the Cascadia subduction zone in the American northwest.聽In her off time, Casey enjoys hiking, fishing, and baking cookies.
