About:
Nina was born and raised in Florian贸polis, an island in southern Brazil. She received her bachelor's in Sanitation and Environmental Engineering from the聽Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, located in her hometown. Then she聽spent 3 years working as an environmental engineering consultant, collecting and analyzing samples of odorous industrial emissions from over a dozen industries in southern Brazil (oil refineries, a paper mill, a flavor and aroma manufacurer, among others). She聽then moved to the United States to pursue a PhD in Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech, where she聽investigated consumer products that had been enhanced with silver nanoparticles for antimicrobial properties. As a postdoc and research scientist, she聽has been the associate director of聽聽and the deputy director of聽.
Nina is聽now an Assistant聽Professor of Mechanical Engineering at 精品SM在线影片 and she聽is also part of the faculty body in the聽Environmental Engineering program at CU. When she聽am not at work, she聽enjoys gardening, baking sourdough bread, hiking and backpacking in the Colorado聽mountains, and聽traveling to warm places to scuba dive.
