Jeni is a junior at the University of Colorado at Boulder studying Chemical Engineering with an Engineering Leadership Certificate. Jeni began working in the Weimer Lab the summer between her freshman and sophomore years through an Undergraduate Research Opportunities grant on solar thermal biomass gasification. Through this project, she has worked on theoretical reaction results for the biomass gasification process with added steam and methane, as well as analyzed char samples generated through pyrolysis. Jeni is currently transitioning to a new project utilizing catalysts developed through atomic layer deposition for Fischer-Tropsch gas-to-liquid processes. Her sophomore year she participated in the Discovery Learning Apprenticeship Program and is currently performing independent study research. She worked as a facilities engineering intern with ConocoPhillips over the summer. Jeni is originally from Montana where she grew up on a ranch, and loves the Colorado lifestyle and being outdoors.
