Telomere Biology

I primarily work聽on telomere proteins, investigating聽how they recognize telomeric DNA and function at the telomeres (and perhaps elsewhere)聽during the replication process. I am happy to be the Lab 鈥淭ech鈥 for the Wuttke Lab. I love learning about life at the molecular level, appreciate聽Dr. Wuttke鈥檚 style and guidance, and enjoy聽the super nice Wuttke Lab members! 聽

Other endeavors and interests:聽When not doing biochemistry, Leslie聽spends a lot of time outdoors and works聽hard to defend life at the ecosystem level.聽She聽has聽spent several decades working at the interface between science and society as a science writer, policy analyst, teacher and lab tech. 聽Working on climate change, clean energy and other environmental issues is a passion of hers, for聽which she has聽won several awards.
