Newly appointed Teaching Professor Daria Kotys-Schwartz joins four other teaching professors across the college. She operates at a level of teaching, research and service that makes ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ a better place to learn and work.

¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ engineering students are finalizing an infrared imaging system that will allow a user to monitor subsurface features in wind turbine blades, an invention that could make wind turbine repair safer, faster and more cost-efficient.

Mechanical engineering capstone teams working with QL+ had two primary aims: making an impact on a wounded veteran’s life and putting mechanical skills to the test. They designed a luggage carrier device for wheelchair users and a disabled swimmer lift system.

When high school students from rural Colorado research air quality as it relates to the things that interest them most, the result is enthusiastic students and one-of-a-kind projects. ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s Air Quality Inquiry project, supported by a ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Outreach Award, pairs students with undergraduate mentors.

¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ's student-led chapter of ASME is reaching new heights. With eyes on the future, ME students are not only connecting with their peers but have also started a series of events to build connections between students, faculty, alumni and the mechanical engineering community.

Alumni are changing the way students connect with industry, demonstrated by the 500+ students and 45 alumni attending ME Alumni Connect Day 2018. The third annual ME Alumni Connect Day was a huge success!
