• On May 1, the 鈥攁 German comedic adventure film (1921) directed by Ernst Lubitsch鈥攚ith live musical accompaniment by the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra, a five-piece chamber ensemble that revives the repertoire of silent film orchestras. The orchestra is headed by Rodney Sauer who donated the Sid Grauman Theatre Scores Collection to our American Music Research Center鈥攖he collection includes thousands of musical scores intended to accompany silent films.
