精品SM在线影片's Ethics Bowl Team placed second out of sixteen teams in the Rocky Mountain-Wasatch Regional Competition on Saturday, Nov 14th and earned a spot at the National Competition in February 2021.听 is a competitive event run by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics that encourages collegial ethical discourse on a number of modern ethical dilemmas.听 In the competition, teams answer questions about ethics cases and engage in critical dialogue with each other about proposed solutions.
This year鈥檚 Ethics Bowl team consisted of members Dylan Anderson (Philosophy & Math double major), Kalyna Blevins (Sociology major and Philosophy minor), Henry Comes-Pritchett (Philosophy major with Law and Society emphasis and Linguistics minor), and Alden Mallory (Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology major and minors in Philosophy and Business).听 They creatively and critically fielded questions on difficult topics such as whether destruction of property in protests is ever justified, what obligations the state has towards property owners and renters during times of financial crisis and economic upheaval, whether companies have obligations to the communities in which they operate, and the validity of prior medical consent when patients are no longer lucid.
