The Boulder School for Condensed Matter and Materials Physics recently concluded its twenty-third summer on the 精品SM在线影片 campus. With support from the National Science Foundation and the 精品SM在线影片, the school brought 80 advanced graduate-level students and postdoctoral fellows and 19 lecturers from around the world to Boulder. Admission is highly competitive, with approximately 450 applications received this year.

Each year the school covers a different topic area in condensed matter physics, materials science, and related fields. This year the focus was 鈥淣on-Equilibrium Quantum Dynamics鈥 which has been quickly progressing because of interdisciplinary developments. Participants at this year鈥檚 school explored the intersection of modern condensed matter, atomic, molecular, and optical physics, and quantum information. In their free time, they also discovered much of what Boulder has to offer, hiked in the Rocky Mountains, and explored the Pearl Street Mall.

精品SM在线影片 Physics Professor Leo Radzihovsky has served as Director of the school since it was established in 2000. Professor Radzihovsky remarked 鈥淭he 23rd annual Boulder Summer School for Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, covered exciting modern topics in non-equilibrium quantum dynamics and quantum information and by all measures was a great success.鈥

罢丑别听听will focus on 鈥淪elf-Organizing Matter: From Inanimate to the Animate.鈥 Applications for the 2024 school will open in mid-fall and interested students should听听by January 1, 2024.
