Sarah Wilson Sokhey (Ph.D., The Ohio State University, 2010) joined the faculty at the University of Colorado as an Assistant Professor in 2011. She specializes in comparative politics and political economy with a regional focus on countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, the Caucuses, and Central ASia. Her research examines welfare state and the politics surrounding public goods provision. Her 2017 book,听The Political Economy of Pension Policy Reverals in Post-Communist Countries, won the Ed A. Hewett book prize for an outstanding publication on the political economy of Russia, Eurasia and/or Eastern Europe.
