The University of Colorado jumped from No. 53 to No. 20 in a recent global ranking of the top 100 universities granted U.S. utility patents for an array of inventions and innovations that can have far-reaching and positive impacts on society.

The Distinguished Research Lectureship is among the highest honors bestowed by the faculty upon a 精品SM在线影片 colleague. Each year, the Research & Innovation Office (RIO) requests nominations and a faculty review panel recommends one or more faculty members as recipients. The deadline for nominations is Monday, June 8.

We will gradually start to resume research and creative work on campus starting Tuesday, May 26. Anyone approved to return to on-campus work must apply using the Request to Return form and complete a new Skillsoft training ("COVID-19 Awareness and Safety"), as well as a daily health assessment.

The new group is tasked with identifying existing strengths and collaborative opportunities to enhance U.S. Department of Defense funding for current and future national-security-related projects and initiatives, especially in space, medical care and cybersecurity.

Lewis Groswald's project aims create strategic planning and business models for entrepreneurs in the commercial space industry, among other areas. The Project Team is currently constituting its advisory board and is soliciting nominations from inside and outside of the University.

Aaron Aboaf is leading a team of students on a million-dollar satellite development project to advance space communications technology鈥攁ll from his childhood bedroom in Aurora, Colorado. The project will be the first CubeSat platform to use CDMA technology (widely used in cell phones).

Help is on the way for Colorado鈥檚 small businesses hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Launched this month by the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, COventure Forward is designed to connect small businesses, start-ups, scale-ups and entrepreneurs to a seasoned mentorship network at no charge.

Employees and researchers who are not already designated as critical will continue remote work until instructed otherwise. A return to research task force is developing criteria for phasing in research. We are also addressing the following for research labs: purchasing PPE, developing cleaning protocols, and working with our campus experts on tracing and testing strategies and protocols.
