PUBLIC LECTURE Nov 5th: Omid Safi

The Department of Religious Studies will be hosting Omid Safi, a leading Muslim-American scholar, media figure, and public commentator on Islam and Muslims in the United States. He is the author of the influential books, Memories of Muhammad: Why the Prophet Matters and Progressive Muslims: On Justice, Gender and Pluralism. On November 5th, he will be presenting: "America and Islam: Rising Beyond the Politics of Fear Post 9/11".
