Religous Studies M.A. Students to Present at Regional AAR

Once again, this year, our Masters students will make a strong showing at the Regional Regional AAR. The Regional AAR (Great Plains Region) will take place on March 18-19 at Iliff School of Theology in Denver. The following Masters students in Religious Studies will present papers:

Chip Horner, 鈥淪oteriology, Thaumaturgy, and Subversive Didacticism in Tantric Siddha Literature: A Literary Analysis of Drukpa Kunley's 鈥楨thical鈥 Geriatricide.鈥

Claire Miller Skriletz, 鈥淓thical Prescriptions and Gender in the Mah膩鈥恜aduma J膩taka and the Bandhanamokkha J膩taka.鈥

Kenneth Richards, 鈥淭he Religious Body in Law: Navajo Nation v. USFS and the Enforcement of Religious Freedom.鈥

In addition, Associate Professor听Loriliai Biernacki听will present on 鈥淩ethinking the Religious Body: Tantric Models of Embodied Divinity鈥 and department alum听John Kinsey听will present on 鈥淩eligious Identity, Social Justice, and the Indian Constitution: Ambedkar and the Law.鈥
