Kathryn Huether Accepted into University of Minnesota PhD Program

Religious Studies MA student and spring 2016 graduate, Kathryn Huether, has been awarded a full scholarship and acceptance to the PhD program in Historical Musicology at the University of Minnesota School of Music. Kathryn will be studying under Dr. Karen Painter and will be focusing on music of World War II, with specific attention on Germany and the Holocaust. In addition, Kathryn will be serving as a research fellow at the University of Minnesota’s Holocaust and Genocide Center. Kathryn is a student of Professor Elias Sacks and credits him for her tremendous growth as a scholar, as well as her participation in both the Religious Studies Program and the Program in Jewish Studies at the University of Colorado.
