Professor Holly Gayley delivered lecture at USC and served on panel at the Claremont Colleges
Professor Holly Gayley delivered a lecture, "On Love and Destiny: Reading the Epistolary Courtship of a Buddhist Tantric Couple,鈥 at the University of Southern California on March 22, 2017, hosted by their Deparment of Religious Studies.
The following day, she participated on a pre-performance panel for the World Premier of聽 at the Garrison Theatre, Scripps College in Claremont. For the piece, 鈥淧ersevere,鈥 an NEA commission by composer Karola Oberm眉ller, featuring soprano Anne Harley and harpist harpist Barbara Poeschl-Edrich, Professor Gayley contributed selections from Khandro Tare Lhamo鈥檚 letters to the libretto and a short essay on 鈥淭hree Generations of Visionary Buddhist Women鈥 to the program notes.
