Staff Council Submits White Paper on Employee Tuition Waiver Benefit

Boulder Campus Staff Council submitted a white paper on employee tuition benefits to the Provost’s Academic Futures Committee in January 2018. Staff Council’s plan lists specific ways to improve the current policy in order to overcome barriers and inconsistencies that keep staff members from taking advantage of the benefit.

Staff Council collected research from peer institutions, held discussions with key administrators, and received personal statements from staff regarding their experiences with utilizing the benefit. In addition, an open forum on the subject was held last month following our spring 2017 town hall.

Our plan is to submit a more comprehensive white paper to the Chancellor and his Executive Committee with greater detail on our proposed improvements.
