Student Affairs Leadership Development Program
Student Affairs staff have the opportunity to participate in a leadership development program for the 2024-25 academic year.
The SA Leadership Development Program is a career opportunity to division leaders and aspiring leaders interested in building a leadership foundation to lead self, others and an organization. Participants will be actively engaged through discussions and presentations.

Program Overview
Learning outcomes
- Develop leadership skills that will help participants be better leaders
- Develop a personal leadership philosophy and be able to articulate that philosophy in a clear and concise way
- Build relationships with other leaders and aspiring leaders in the division
Competencies
The curriculum for this program is centered around the book, Learning to Lead by Ron Williams. Participants will focus on:
- Leading self
- Leading others
- Leading an organization
Participation requirements
In order to participate, applicants must:
- Be a leader or aspiring leader in Student Affairs
- Have worked in the division for at least one year
- Have the support of their supervisor to participate in the program
- Be able to participate in the in-person monthly meetings and complete the individual work outside of the meetings
