Letter from the President:

Welcome!

My name is Ada Forsner, and I am so excited to be the president of Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics for the 2024 to 2025 academic year. Currently, I am a senior pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, with minors in Space and Engineering Management. My first experience with WoAA started during the fall of 2022, where I was a general member. The following year, during the fall of 2023, I became the Executive Internal Coordinator.

I hope to transform WoAA into a growing organization open to all! If you have a passion for aerospace or simply want to learn about anything related, this is the student society for you. The core mission of WoAA is to provide support, empowerment, and networking avenues for gender minorities in the aerospace field, with an initial concentration on university students. Our array of activities encompasses social gatherings, technical sessions, professional networking, and academic pursuits. Examples of events/opportunities WoAA has offered include panel discussions and speakers, organizing outreach for K-12, participating in industry tours, and traveling to national and local conferences. Your involvement can be a pivotal addition to our dynamic community!

Feel free to reach out and ask our organization anything. Our events are bi-weekly, starting Monday, September 16th and are located in the BOLD Chevron Commons Room, unless stated otherwise. Our events usually run from 6-7pm, but sometimes we have special circumstances. Be sure to stay up to date with our events, including the conference we are traveling to this fall, and the conference we are hosting next spring.
